The Korean Traditional Food Market - GwangJang Market

I bet GwangJang Market @ Jongno will definitely be listed on every tourists' itineraries, so am I. Yeah this is a MUST-GO place in Korea which you can taste various kind of Korean local food. And, of course you can understand more about their culture.

You can notice that not even the tourists like GwangJang Market, even Koreans choose to satisfy their hunger here.

You can see the "ajumas" ( known as aunts or women in Korean) are busy preparing delicious snacks like red bean porridge called patjuk (팟죽), jokbal pigs’ feet and sundae (순대) blood sausage, bindaetteok (빈대떡) etc.

Left: Jokbal , Right: Sundae Blood Sausage

We randomly picked a stall to eat as most stalls offers similar options for the cooked food. Prices are similar as well. We ordered a bowl of Korean traditional fish soup , japchae( picture above) and sundae blood sausage. The taste of sesame blended so well with the japchae DAEBAK! :D

After eating, you can buy a drink and have a nice stroll near the Cheonggyecheon at Dongdaemun. Cheonggyecheon is a stream over 3.7 kilometers long that runs right through downtown Seoul.

This drink was refreshing. It helped in digesting all the fat food that we ate.

The beauty of Cheonggyecheon. It was amazing!!!

I saw Clash of Clans every where in Korea omg! HAHA. Both of the photos were captured during our walk back to Dongdaemun.

Okay that is all for my Seoul Korea Trip, the next post will be the exciting I swear! HAHA only for 18XX , stay tuned !
