JEJU DAY 2: Manjanggul Lava Tube & Jeju Mazeland

During our Korea trip , I was glad that we didn't miss the chance to visit this utterly breath taking place in Korea - Jeju Island. We enjoyed our nice and relaxing time here, by having a break from the "fast-paced" Seoul city.

We started our first day of journey by joining a bus day trip ( east course) as you know there aren't much public transportation in Jeju Island such as Subway train to have sightseeing around the island by yourself. However, you can see taxis almost everywhere on the island which provide much more convenience for us if we want to go certain places. You can take the bus though, if you know how to speak or read Korean.

Our first destination was Manjanggul Lava Tube. It is a 7.4km long lava tube locally with a multi level structure. It is also one of the longest lava tube in the world having a main passage with a width up to 18m and height up to 23m. Numerous lava tubes are found in worldwide but Manjanggul is an outstanding one because of its well-preserved passage shapes and internal micro-topographic features despite of its very old age.

We spent 30 minutes to walk until the end of the passage approximately. It was freaking cold inside as we were wearing shorts. We didn't expect this. But it went a lot better when we finally get out of the cave. I remembered that I even snapchatted telling my friends how cold it was!

The spectacular view outside the Manjanggul Lava Tube.

Our next destination was Jeju Mazeland.

We were given only 1 hour to discover this place with a mazeland map if I am not wrong. We decided to give ourselves a challenge by going through all the maze just like the maze runner. As we had time limit, I was kinda freaked out when we kept on going on the wrong path. Try to imagine that when there is only two of you and the path that you are actually going is not the same as stated in the map!  It was indeed confusing at certain places. I don't know. That feeling was awful for me when I had a panic attack. Nobody actually understands. Luckily, we managed to finish the whole maze ! Cheers for both of us!

We had a lovely lunch buffet to satisfy our hunger at Maze wellbeing Korean restaurant which located just beside Mazeland.

I will continue our amazing journey in the next post just to make my blog looks more neat and presentable I guess? :D
