You can visit this 3 places by walking. It is not very far so you no need to waste money on taking train or taxi.
1. Gyeongbokgung : The first Korean Palace built in the year 1395. It is located at Gyeongbokgung Station. You can also take train starting from Gwanghwamun station which leads to the main entrance of Gyeongbokgung. The entrance fee for the palace is 3000won ( about RM10 ). If you wish to visit other three palaces located nearby Gyeongbokgung, you can straight away buy the package ticket ( 4 palace ) with just 10000won (RM34) . Moreover, muziums are located within the area. Feel free to visit if you have enough time.
This is the subway station of Gyeongbokgung which I think is pretty cool haha. All the walls and tiles are coated with grey
Very cool right !!!
Gwanghwamun - Main entrance of Gyeongbokgung! :D |
Royal Guard-Changing ceremony |
Largest Pavilion of South Korea which the king held important occasions here during Joseon Dynasty.

2. Samcheong-dong : This is one of my favourite places in Korea. I think the main reason is the unique design of shops and cafes. I really love the vintage elements surrounded in this place.
This is actually a cafe. Hahah pretty cool right?
Beautiful handmade souvenirs, who wants? |
We had our lunch here. Actually, we came here on purpose for the well-known Korean traditional noodles (
The entrance of the restaurant looks like this. Chinese name known as 三清洞面疙瘩
This 2 person portion was quite big for us as you know we are girls, we couldn't eat as much as guy right? But the noodles was too too too delicious ( not kidding ) although the appearance of the soup noodles looked simple and ordinary. It was a big bowl of it but my friend and I manage to finish it clean. THE TASTE WAS JUST RIGHT! I highly recommend to have a try. 9000won/ per person.
3. Bukchon Hanok Village - I like this place very much too. It is located at Samcheong-dong. One of the MUST GO tourist spots!!
Hanok is a traditional house built by Korean during older days. Now, there are still some people staying in the Hanoks but most of the Hanoks are changed from residential area to business lots such as cafes, souvenir and accessory shops.
We found a souvenir shop selling baby cactus and it was so cute !!! The baby cactus can be customized into necklaces instead of putting it into a small pot! So, there are two options.
The baby cactus is real ! You really need to take care of it by watering the baby once or
twice a month. The beautiful Korean lady who was selling this told us that we need to move the cactus to a bigger flower pot after 3 years as it will grow bigger.
The price for a baby cactus is 5000won ( RM17 ) . My friend and I bought 3 for 12000won
(RM40). Basically, it is like the more you buy , the more discount you will get.
BUT..................
My baby cactus has already become so FAT , I didn't even give any nutrients or even water to it. "Don't grow so FAT cactus I still need to take you out to show off my friends AHHAHAH "
4. Insadong - Insadong street is full of tourists every day. This is where you can grab some awesome handmade souvenirs.
There is a shopping mall in Insadong street named Samziegil. You can find some creative and unique souvenirs here.
As you can see from the photos, there is neither stairs nor lift . All you need to do is walk along the spiral-like path which leads you to the top of the mall.
When you reach the top, you get to see the extraordinarily clear view of Insadong.
Window shopping is a good choice as you may discover something special here. Well, I think that is all for today.
Stay tuned for the next post :D Bye!
Love,
Chloe
